I had a mixed experience at this resort. While the beach gazebo for the wedding ceremony was beautiful and the service from the beach staff was exceptional, the planning for the wedding was a nightmare with poor communication and hidden costs. The room we stayed in had several issues including sewage smells, which really dampened our stay. However, the resort staff were warm and welcoming, making the vacation enjoyable despite its flaws.

I had an incredible week at Catalonia Royal Bavaro with fantastic service and beautiful grounds. The beach was lovely, although seaweed was sometimes present. The dining experience was memorable with excellent a la carte options, but one restaurant didn't meet expectations. Overall, a very relaxing stay with great amenities.
